She reprised the lead role in Sex and the City 2: Sex and the City (2008 and Sex and the City 2) (2010) films. She is also known for her leading roles in the 1980s films Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. She was born in Skane, Sweden and worked as a model before she began her acting career. She won the Miss Sweden competition. After she left Sweden for the US and starred in a variety of films in minor roles and her career began to take off. In the movie Abbott and Costello Go to Mars she was recognized as the role of a Venusian. In the following year, her performance as a bloody woman in Blood Alley won her the Golden Globe for Most Promising debutante.
